Manipulator is a free, Excel-based educational tool designed to visualize and explore the dynamics of Item Response Theory (IRT). It allows practitioners and students to observe how Item Response Functions, Test Response Functions, Item Information Functions, Test Information Functions, as well as the probability of correct/incorrect responses and likelihood functions change in response to variations in item parameters, examinee responses, and Bayesian prior types.
As part of the free IRT Tools Series from ASiMETRY, Manipulator aims to make IRT concepts more interactive, intuitive, and accessible. We hope you and your students find it both insightful and enjoyable to use.
